My Advocacy
Driving Change through Action
Why do Africans strive to live, work or study in countries such as the United Kingdom while people from the United Kingdom do not strive to live, work or study in Africa?
Why is Africa poor and the United Kingdom not?
Chidi Okeke, in The Book of Hope, takes you on a unique, inspiring and unparalleled thought-provoking adventure through time and reason.
He, in this highly distinguished book, tells the story of why Africa is unable to compete favorably with her peers around the world.
Okeke dissects issues around slavery and colonialism, their effects on modern-day society and highlights compelling ways to transcend their lingering effects.
He places emphasis on ways to promote identity, unity and trust among Africans and within Nigeria, in particular, as a way to set and maintain high standards.
With narratives from 60,000 years ago to 18th-century Adam Smith and 21st-century Barack Obama, Okeke delivers a compelling exposé on solutions to systemic problems of Africa.
Furthermore, he delicately lays out insightful ground-breaking steps which should be adopted by nations to propel the standing of Africa to unprecedented levels.
The surprise of Okeke’s package is that the United Kingdom’s political, cultural and economic discipline should be the model for the restoration and progression of Africa and Nigeria, in particular.
This is a must-read noble book for its stylistics, themes, and optimism for Africa.
In 2024, I drafted the Public Petitions Bill to give Nigerians a stronger voice in governance. This bill establishes an official Public Petitions Website, making it easier for citizens to submit, track, and support petitions directly to the National Assembly.
With features like identity verification, fraud prevention, and transparency mechanisms, this platform ensures that every petition is taken seriously. By setting clear thresholds for legislative action, it guarantees real responses to public concerns.
This bill is a step toward greater civic engagement, accountability, and a more responsive government—because your voice matters.

In 2021, IÂ took to the streets, going door-to-door to collect signatures for a paper petition urging the National Assembly to digitize the public petition process.Â
This effort was driven by a commitment to making governance more accessible and responsive to the people. That same dedication to practical solutions and real change continues in this campaign—because a better Nigeria starts with bold action.
