Chidi Okeke – United in Hope for a Brighter Future
Chidi Okeke is an engineer, builder, and dedicated advocate for a better Nigeria. Born and raised in Ibadan, he is running to represent the people of Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, bringing a fresh vision and innovative solutions to governance.
With a strong educational foundation from Mary Hill Convent School Ibadan, International School, Ibadan (ISI), and a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of London, Chidi has built a career at the intersection of technology, energy, and governance. As an entrepreneur and employer, he founded a solar company that provides power to homes and businesses across Nigeria, improving productivity, quality of life and economic stability. He has also worked with leading software engineering firms within and outside Nigeria, gaining valuable insights into digital innovation.
Chidi has long been a champion of public participation in governance. He has actively fought for the digitization of public petitions, going door-to-door to collect signatures and engaging the National Assembly’s Public Petitions Committee to ensure that citizens have an easier, more transparent way to share their concerns with the government.
His motivation for running for office is clear: to create a Nigeria where people no longer feel the need to seek opportunities abroad (“Japa”) but instead find them right here at home. His flagship initiative, the Builders Corps, is a proposed Public-Private Partnership (PPP) focused on large-scale industrial manufacturing, leveraging Nigeria’s youthful population to transform the country into a global manufacturing powerhouse.
As a leader, Chidi embodies integrity, innovation, resolve, service, and sacrifice. His background in engineering gives him the problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of challenges and apply practical, sustainable solutions—while always listening to the people he serves
